EQUIP YOUR NEIGHBOR CLEVELAND TO: THE SPONSORING PARTNERS Dear Sponsoring Partner, Equip Your Neighbor Cleveland wishes to thank you for your generous donation to help our November 17th drive. Thanks in part to you, the drive collected nearly 500 pieces of medical equipment to be distributed without cost for the needy. The donations which were sent were used to purchase eleven 3ft by 10ft banners which were put on the side of each truck. In kind donations were also a tremendous help in this very successful drive. Ten sites were established across the Greater Cleveland area in Lake, Geauga, and Cuyahoga Counties. At each site, volunteers were there to accept all kinds of medical equipment including wheel chairs-both motorized and non motorized, walkers, commodes, crutches etc. and even hospital beds. All the items will be cleaned and then redistributed to the needy without cost. Such individuals unfortunately are badly in need of various equipment but “fall through the cracks” in that they probably can’t afford to buy or rent equipment, have no insurance, and for some reason do not qualify for governmental assistance. Without your assistance we would not have had such a successful drive. You are part of the a group of concerned partners of Equip Your Neighbor Cleveland including the following: Sam Rutigliano; Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga County Commissioners; Congressman Steve LaTourette; CT Consultants; Bennett Machine & Stamping; ATT Mobile; Doctor Bob Barr; Madison Ministers; Fred Close; Lake Hospitals; Zapp Trailers; Wal-Mart stores of Greater Cleveland; Great Lakes Mall; Crockett Team of Hanna Reality; Steve & Jerry’s Auto; Little Thunder Golf; Subway Shops; Classic Auto of Madison; WKYW Channel 3; and WKKY of Geneva. The next step for Equip Your Neighbor Cleveland will be to obtain funding through grants in order to be able to operate the program. Anyone in need can contact local hospitals, disability agencies or directly contact us. There is a request form on our web site that can be downloaded and filled out and then sent to us for processing. Any item that is requested and on hand will be delivered to the agency which the client in need has contacted. Our web site is www.equipyourneighborcleveland.org If you have any questions about the program you may call Frank Ashton at 440-428-6743. You may also e mail us at fashton@windstream.net Again thank you for your participation in a very worthwhile program! Sincerely, |
